The 6th Annual Grand Isle Ladies Rodeo was held on Columbus Day Weekend October 5th and 6th, at Bridge Side Marina, located at the foot of the Grand Isle bridge overlooking Caminada Pass.  Nearly 1000 tickets were sold at the Touranment.  Participants weighed in over three hundred fish in 14 categories. Everyone enjoyed the rodeo caps and shirts, door prizes, raffles, live auctions, dinner both nights and dance on Saturday night.  Team Fishing Teams dressed up in festive costumes to participate in the Fishing Fashion Award Competition.  This year's team winner was "KISS Cancer Goodby". Amy Kleinpeter won the Fisherette Award with a total weight of 67.10 for the two Cobia she caught (with a Broken Rod!)

The Grand Isle Ladies 2012 Rodeo raised $20,000 to supported breast cancer awareness with donations to the “Wig room” inventory at the Lady of the Sea Hospital,  Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC, Thibodaux Regional Cancer Center and the American Cancer Society.  Total Donations to date total $50,100.
